About Us

sPorT plus physical therapy, LLC is a private practice and is not affiliated with any other healthcare organizations. It is owned and operated by Dr. Mel Eggebecht, DPT, (Doctor of Physical Therapy), Dr. Mel is native to the northwoods and is a hometown girl having grown up here in Phillips, WI.

Dr. Eggebecht’s undergraduate studies and degree were obtained from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Her graduate studies were completed in 2002 at Concordia University Wisconsin, earning both Master of Physical Therapy and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees.

After graduation Dr. Eggebrecht spent nine years in Sheboygan, WI working in a variety of healthcare settings. She moved to Phillips, WI in 2006 and has been practicing independently there since. She brings to the area knowledge of orthopedics and sports medicine, skilled nursing/long term care, acute/hospital care, subacute care, inpatient rehab, industrial rehab, and school based physical therapy.
